!discord 60s global

Drops the invite link to the ZeroOne Beats Discord server in chat.

!socials 60s global

Posts a list of all social-media links for the channel.

!schedule 120s global

Triggers the on-screen schedule overlay so you can see what's coming up this week.

!web / !app 300s global

Posts the link to zeroonebeats.com and the desktop Player app. Use either alias - they do the same thing.

!submit 60s global

Explains how to submit your own track for consideration in the rotation. Posts a link to the submission form.

!followage 60s per user

Shows how long you've been following the channel.

!lurk 600s per user

Polite lurk announcement - let the chat know you're tuning in but stepping AFK. The bot will give you a shoutout.

02 - Music Interaction

React to the Current Track

Vote on what's playing, leave a comment, or look up artist info. Everyone's votes shape the rotation - tracks that get dope'd more get played more.

!dope / !nope No cooldown

!dope - upvote the currently playing track. !nope - downvote it. Votes are tracked per user per track, so you can't spam the same vote on the same song.

Track scores affect rotation weighting: well-rated tracks come up more often, poorly-rated ones less.

Cheer69 <message> Cheer to comment

Leave a comment on the current track by cheering 69 bits with your message. Example: Cheer69 this drop hits different (max 100 characters). Your comment shows on screen when that track plays again later. Type !comment for a reminder, or !comments (mods) to list a track's comments.

!artist 180s global

Posts info about the currently playing artist - bio, links, where to find more of their stuff.

03 - The big one

!sr - Song Request

The main interactive command. Use it to request a specific track from the ZeroOne Beats catalogue. Don't worry about syntax - if you get it wrong, the bot tells you what to fix.

!sr <artist> - <title> 300s per user

Requests a song from the catalogue. The bot searches for the closest match and queues it as the next track to play.

How to use it

Type !sr followed by what you want to hear. The preferred format is Artist - Title, but Title alone usually works too:

bot: @you "Daft Punk - One More Time" is up next!

The segment rule

The stream cycles through different segments - genre blocks like synthwave, drum & bass, lo-fi, etc. Your requested track has to belong to the segment that's currently playing. If you request something from the wrong segment, the bot will tell you which segment that track lives in.

Type !sr with no arguments and the bot will tell you which segment is currently playing - handy when you don't know what to ask for.

What the bot replies

Every !sr gets a response. Here's the full list of replies you might see and what each one means:

✓ Queued

"Artist - Title" is up next! - Your request was accepted and will play after the current track finishes.

No match

no match for "X". Try Artist - Title. - Nothing in the library matched what you typed. Try being more specific, check spelling, or use the Artist - Title format.

Too vague

multiple matches - be more specific: - Your search matched more than one track. The bot shows the top candidates so you can pick one and re-request.

Wrong segment

"X" is from synthwave, but we're playing drum & bass right now. Try a track from this segment! - Track exists, but doesn't fit the current genre block. Wait for that segment to come around, or pick something else.

Playing now

"X" is playing RIGHT NOW. - That's literally the current track. No need to request it.

Just played

"X" just finished playing - give it a bit before requesting again. - The track was on recently. Give it some breathing room.

Already queued

"X" is already up next! - Someone (maybe you) already requested it. It will play soon.

Recently queued

"X" was queued recently - try again in N min. - The track has a per-song cooldown so it doesn't get spammed. Wait out the timer or pick a different one.

Per-user cooldown: 5 minutes. After a successful !sr, you have to wait 5 minutes before requesting again. Failed requests (no match, wrong segment, etc.) don't count - only successful queues start the timer.

⚠️

You can only request what's in the catalogue. !sr doesn't pull from YouTube or external sources - it only queues tracks that already live on the ZeroOne Beats server. If you want to add new music to the catalogue, use !submit instead.
