Open the app and sign in
The first time you open ZeroOne Master it asks you to sign in. Pick Continue with Twitch, Google, or Discord. Your web browser opens so you can sign in safely, then you land in the app. ZeroOne Master is completely free - there is no subscription to buy, now or later.

Bring in your audio
Click Add File to choose one or more songs, or Add Folder to bring in a whole folder at once. Each song becomes a row in the list. Everything you need is along the top bar.
ZeroOne Master works with WAV files only (files that end in .wav). WAV is the high-quality, uncompressed format that mastering needs, and it is what most music apps can export. If your song is an MP3 or another format, export or convert it to WAV first - the app will not accept it otherwise.
Watch Folder is optional: point it at a folder and any new WAV you drop into it gets added automatically while the app is open.
Genre, vocals and names
ZeroOne Master listens to each song and fills in most of the details for you - it detects the genre, the sub-genre, and whether the song has vocals. The artist and title are read from the file name (for example a file called Artist - Song Title.wav).
The Family is the mastering style the app thinks fits best (for example house-club, lo-fi, or rock-metal). It is chosen automatically - you do not have to do anything. But if you look at a song and think the pick is wrong, click the Family box and choose a better one. That is the main thing you can change to steer how a song ends up sounding.
You can edit the artist, title and other fields right in the list - they get saved into the finished file's tags. Everything else has a sensible default, so you can leave it alone if you are not sure.
Pick an output folder
Next to Output at the top, click Browse and choose the folder where you want the finished files saved. The app remembers it, so you only set it once.
Press the button
Click Master. That is the whole job - you do not touch any sliders.
Each song is set to the loudness that streaming services are built around (-14 LUFS), with a small safety margin below the maximum (-1 dBTP) so it never clips or distorts. Behind the scenes the app runs a full mastering chain matched to the song's genre - balancing the tone, softening harsh "s" sounds, gluing everything together, and holding the peaks in check - then saves a high-quality 320 kbps MP3 tagged with the artist, title and other details. Several songs are mastered at once, so a whole batch finishes quickly.
The app measures the song, adjusts, and measures again in a loop until it lands right on the loudness target, then locks the peaks so nothing overshoots. You get a consistent, release-ready result every time, without any guesswork.
Compare the two
Click Audition A/B (or double-click a finished song) to play the original and the mastered version back to back at the same volume, with a simple picture of how the tone changed. It is the quickest way to hear exactly what the app did.
Staying current
When a new version is released you will see an Update available bar at the top - one click installs it. And the Send feedback button in the top bar is always there: a bug, a song that mastered oddly, or an idea - it comes straight to us and helps us tune the app.
